Wilderness First Aid<\/strong>   This\ncourse was designed by the Boy Scouts of America for situations occurring in\nareas where normal emergency services (911) response is unavailable or\nsignificantly delayed. It could also be a lifesaver for hunters, back country\nhikers, and Church youth leaders or mission volunteers operating in\nimpoverished, remote, or disaster stricken locations. The course fulfills the\nfirst aid requirement for all BSA High Adventure bases and activities as well\nas the Venturing Core Requirement for First Aid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

• Scene Safety, Initial Size Up, and Rapid Patient Assessment<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Rapid interventions including sever traumatic  Bleeding Control  (BCON)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Secondary Patient Assessment \u2013 Patient History (SAMPLE)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Trauma interventions including Spinal Injuries, Burns, Bandaging, and Splinting<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Medical interventions for Heart Attack, Shock, Bites, Stings, Allergic Reactions \/  Anaphylactic Shock, Diabetic Emergencies, Seizures, Heat and Cold Emergencies<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Accident and Illness Prevention and Much More.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• 16 Hour Course \/ ASHI Certification good for two years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

  This course can be done in one weekend with Friday evening and all day Saturday class plus Sunday afternoon if CPR is aslo needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Assist patient with prescribed Epiens, Rescue Inhalers, Nitro, and Naloxone <\/li>\n\n\n\n

  • 4 to 6 Hour Course \/ ASHI Certification good for two years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    First Aid \/ CPR Package<\/strong> This course includes the basic CPR course and a provider specific basic first aid course. Provider specific in that we tailor the first aid portion of the course to meet your organizations specific needs. This course assumes normal emergency medical response and resources are available. This course is perfect for Church safety and emergency teams, nursery workers, and children, youth, and senior adult program leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
